Competition Training

Chassé & Sway specializes in developing and sharpening your ballroom skills in a variety of ways. One of the techniques that we employ is to prepare you for the thrills that stem from competitive ballroom dance. And we do this for mainstream competition dancing, as well as for same sex partnership dancing.

From the date of your decision to enter a competitive dance category, the hours that you’ll spend from practice through performance, will add to a wide variety of beneficial returns for you. These benefits include:

  • Personal accomplishment
  • Create a vision
  • A little competition inspires you to work harder
  • Develop memories that will last a lifetime
  • Focus your training
  • Travel and create new and exciting experiences
  • And many more

If you’d like to add any of the above benefits to your dance related experiences, then you should truly consider becoming a Dancesport competitor!

If you want to take your dancing to the next level, we hope that you will join us at one or more of the local and national events that we will attend in 2017. Whether you’ve always dreamed of getting on the competition floor, or it’s something you’ve considered trying, the benefits of competitive dancing are endless.

Same Sex Partnership Dance Competitions

We at Chassé & Sway believe that everyone should enjoy the benefits of ballroom competitions regardless of the gender of their partner. We specialize in preparing our students for the thrills of competitive ballroom dance whether they decide to compete in the mainstream, same sex partnership dancing, or both types of competitions. Same sex dance competitions also offer reverse-role competitions where the lady leads and the man follows. We welcome the LGBTQ community and also have students who compete in both mainstream, as well as dance competitions for same sex partners.
